Message Well I finished my doctorate up in Alaska and now I'm back in Vegas and about to get the car back on the road. The car hadn't been driven in about a year (I drove it around a bit last Christmas). It's been on jackstands with the wheels off. Full tank of gas. No battery in car.

I changed out the filter and oil and put the battery back in. The car started up with a little difficulty. Immediately it sounded rough so I decided to let it warm up a bit and then check coil pack connectors. Turns out the connector on the rearmost cylinder on the driver side had come loose. Pushed that back in and she started to sound much less rough...but still a bit rough. I then started pulling coilpack connectors. Middle one on the driver side showed no dip in the tachometer when pulled. I swapped the coilpack and same cylinder...so Ka-Kow another injector dead. Car was fine when I parked it. Same thing happened about 2 years ago when I had it out of hibernation for a summer. So I'm guessing all my injectors are on their way out one by one but until I get the postdoc position squared away I'm going to lay off the big spending for a fuel system upgrade. Just thought I'd share.
